Jennifer Dickmyer, M.Ed

Structured Literacy Specialist

With a career spanning decades in special education and literacy, Jennifer is a dedicated advocate for student success. She is firmly committed to finding solutions to end the literacy crisis. Her commitment is deeply personal; growing up with two dyslexic siblings, she saw firsthand the emotional toll learning barriers take on families. This experience fuels her conviction that learning to read is a fundamental right for every child. A “Double Gator” with a Master’s in Special Education from UF and an Intervention Specialist Certificate from UCF, Jennifer excels at fostering a true partnership between students, families, teachers, and leaders to ensure every voice is heard and every strategy remains centered on the child’s unique needs.

Jennifer’s expertise is grounded in evidence-based practices, including her training as an Orton Gillingham Academy Classroom Educator and her leadership in school-wide MTSS initiatives. Having supported a vast community of students, families, and educators, she brings a unique blend of strategic planning and hands-on coaching to every challenge. When she isn’t mentoring teachers or working with students and families, Jennifer enjoys reading on the beach and soaking up the Florida sunshine with family and friends.
